• SY 26-27 Calendar, No Snow Giveback Days, & Many Congratulations

  Good morning,

  Please see the attachment below for next school year's calendar that was approved at last evening's Board of Education meeting. This calendar is also posted on the district website (http://www.clarkschools.org) under the "More" tab towards the top.

  As a friendly reminder, there will be no "snow giveback" days this May and June with us having used our three snow days. Schools will be open on Friday, May 22, 2026, Friday, May 29, 2026, and Monday, June 1, 2026.

  If no additional snow days are needed, we will have our complete spring break with schools being closed beginning on Friday, April 3, 2026 and reopening on Monday, April 13, 2026.

  On a different note, many congratulations to Mrs. Amanda Clarke on her appointment as our new CHK Principal. She, having served as a longtime CHK Assistant Principal and prior to that role as a CHK Teacher, is certain to do a superior job. We are looking forward to her guiding CHK along a continued path of greatness.

  In light of the potential loss of SNAP benefits on November 1st, please note the New Jersey Basic Needs Information Hub offers a comprehensive listing of websites that can assist households in locating a local food pantry or soup kitchen.  Families may also choose to access the Community Food Bank of New Jersey, Food Bank of South Jersey, Fulfill, Norwescap, and Mercer Street Friends websites directly to search for local food resources.

  Hi everyone,

  I am thrilled to report that we had a great first day with our students today. It was wonderful being back with them, and we are looking forward to amazing things to come.

  Good morning,

  Please log into your child's Genesis account and then look under the "Bus" tab to see if he/she is scheduled to be on a bus route this coming school year.  If you see a route number, then follow the below steps to find the route specifics.

  Go to http://www.clarkschools.org.

  Select the "More" tab towards the top right of the page.

  Select the "Departments" sub-tab from that list.

  Select the "Business Office" sub-tab from that list.

  Click on the "2025-2026 Route Summaries" link toward the bottom left of that page.

  If you do not see a route number within Genesis, then your child will not be receiving transportation through the school this year (with the exception of UCVTS students who are eligible for transportation there despite not having a route number in Genesis).

• Chapter 27 Emergency Virtual or Remote Instruction Programs Plan 2025-2026 School Year

  Submission of this plan is a requirement of the New Jersey Department of Education. The Board of Education still has no intent to transition to such a model. The strong commitment of the Board of Education is and will continue to be to traditional in-person student school days.
